For many people, it brings:

  • A chance to share wisdom and love.

However, modern grandparenting also comes with challenges.

Grandparents may struggle with:

  • Changing family roles.
  • Different parenting styles.
  • Feeling excluded.
  • Wanting more involvement.
  • Accepting their adult child’s decisions.
  • Navigating stepfamilies and blended families.
  • Maintaining relationships after family conflict.

Parents may struggle with:

  • Feeling judged.
  • Feeling pressured.
  • Feeling their parenting, choices are criticised.
  • Managing boundaries.
  • Balancing grandparents’ wishes with their children’s needs.

Healthy grandparent relationships are built when everyone understands:

Grandparents are important.
Parents are responsible.
Children deserve consistency, respect and emotional safety.

This course helps grandparents, parents and extended family members create relationships based on:

  • Respect.
  • Boundaries.
  • Cooperation.
  • Trust.
  • Emotional maturity.
  • Love across generations

I am a grandma, my most favourite job in the world.  When you hold your grandchild for the first time, nothing compares.  I was blessed to be in the room when some of our grandchildren where born. Watching your child, give birth to a child, wow, the emotions are indescribable.

I feel part of a grandparent role is to be available to their grandchildren and share knowledge when asked, helping them grow into the best versions of themselves without judgment.
